This project provided BP Grangemouth with a new 11kv substation and replacement distribution feeder circuits.
Having already constructed the new substation several months previously, Raynesway's task in this second phase was to carry out trenching works to allow our sister company, Balfour Kilpatrick, to install new HV cables.
Due to the presence of existing services, a majority of the 2km of trenches had to be hand excavated.
