Rugeley Eastern Bypass
Cost: £7.9 million
Customer: Staffordshire County Council
The contract includes the design and construction of two bridges to go under the existing railway. The structures are being built off line and will be slid into place using a combination of hydraulic jacks and low friction skid shoes on a temporary slide path. The contract also includes 600 metres of single carriageway in flood trough and associated earthworks, footways, drainage, lighting and signage.
