Undergraduate Opportunities
We offer UK-wide placements for periods of industrial training, for those students studying for a degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management.
We recruit our industrial students with the longer-term aim that they will join us on graduation and therefore, working as a summer or industrial year student you will be encouraged to commence your professional training. This should assist you in gaining a professional qualification at an earlier stage after graduation. You will have a professionally qualified mentor for this period, our training schemes for Civil Engineers are approved by the Institution of Civil Engineers, for Quantity Surveyors, our structured scheme leads to membership of the RICS.
At Balfour Beatty Civil Engineering we are proud of our training and development activity and in 2005 we won the Training Achievement category at the Quality in Construction Awards (QIC)
A successful industrial training period can lead to sponsorship and a place on our graduate scheme. We offer summer vacation placements with a minimum of eight weeks duration.
