How we work
Healthy Communities at the A3
There is understandably huge interest in a project that is literally unfolding on the doorsteps of many local people, not to mention one that is much anticipated and long-awaited.
Appreciating the demographic of the area, and opportunities for effective, positive communication, the Community Relations Manager gives a considerable number of external presentations each year to local interest groups including, but not limited to, Probus and Rotary Clubs, Women's Institutes, science groups and local authorities.
Site visits are also run by the Community Relations team, consisting of a brief presentation in the visitor centre giving an

overview of the scheme followed by a guided tour of the works by minibus. This is vital in keeping the public safe whilst on site, in line
with the company's principles of Zero Harm.
Since the project began in 2007 more than 100 presentations have been given to over 6500 people and 100 site visits have been run for almost 1400 people.
