BBCEL Southern wins bridge replacement D&C contract in Hartlepool from Network Rail

Work will entail the replacement of the existing highly skewed (69 degree), 48m long span wrought iron superstructure, including the demolition of the existing superstructure and the installation of a new superstructure with walkways.

Associated work will involve the partial demolition of the abutments and the installation of new cill units. The works will utilise a 9-day blockade of the rail line in August 2006.
