Raynesway wins Langlands West Site Earthworks & Drainage contract

Raynesway Construction has been awarded a contract by South Lanarkshire Council for the earthworks and drainage package for a future development site at Langlands in East Kilbride.

This is a speculative development by South Lanarkshire Council. At present, the site is greenfield and covers an area of approximately 30 hectares. Initially works to divert an existing culvert, water main and power cables will be carried out to allow the earthworks to commence.

The muckshift consists of a 350,000m³ cut and fill operation including the reprocessing and deposition of 90,000m³ of peat, which on completion, will form two large building platforms and associated access roads.
