Greenlaw Mains Footbridge

Midlothian Council has awarded a contract to Raynesway Construction for foundations for a new EKKI timber footbridge over a small stream in a housing estate in Penicuik.
This is one of two contracts currently being undertaken in Penicuik by Raynesway, with the nearby Eskmill site remediation works for Applecross now well advanced.
Ensuring that the current high profile of Raynesway in Penicuik is a positive experience for the local community is one of the main challenges on the project.
Early completion of the work is achievable and with an extensive diversion for pedestrians throughout the duration of the works, an early opening of the new bridge will be a positive experience for all concerned.
