13 February 2009
As part of a massive urban regeneration project, over four miles of waterfront from Port Glasgow to Greenock is being redeveloped by Riverside Inverclyde, an Urban Regeneration Company comprising Inverclyde Council, Clydeport and Scottish Enterprise.
Raynesway Construction has been awarded a contract, for an enabling works package on a future development platform. The work scope consists of the demolition of an existing housing sales office, rerouting HV power cables, eradication of Japanese Knotweed and bulk earthworks.
This contract has just started and consists of an initial visit for earthworks with a return to finish the works after the diversion of existing services. The material removed from this site will be transported to the James Watt dock for use as upfill to this part of the development.
