Raynesway wins award for Vet School Cycleway, Edinburgh

Raynesway Construction has been awarded a contract by Balfour Beatty Construction Ltd to construct a cycleway at the new Edinburgh University Vet School at Easter Bush on the outskirts of the city.

The cycleway will link two main roads in the area and provide a route to the campus for those studying at the university or employed in the surrounding research park.

The route of the cycleway is through woodland and farmland and features, in one area, a raised structure which spans the existing roots of the mature woodland and carries the cycleway through the trees without causing damage or requiring extensive tree removal.
