Southern Region project receives RoSPA Gold Award

Balfour Beatty Regional Civil Engineering's, Southern Region in joint venture with Balfour Kilpatrick has been awarded a RoSPA Gold Award for Occupational Health and Safety 2009. The joint venture received the award for the project at Heathrow which involves the diversion of all key services betweeen Terminal 1 and Terminal 3 to enable the isolation and demolition of the existing Terminal 2 and Queens Building.

The works have been carried out within the heavily congested Central Terminal Area at Heathrow, where safe interface with the public has been a key consideration throughout.
