Significant milestone completed on our A421 scheme

The placing of beams at the Marsh Leys Railway Bridge was successfully completed at our A421 scheme and represents a key project milestone.
This major undertaking has been some nine months in the planning due to coordination required between the rail possession and full closure of the A421.
The effort needed to keep this work on programme has been tremendous, requiring all teams across the A421 to interface effectively. The level of detail involved in planning such an event - taking into consideration safety, communication, traffic management, engineering and production - relied on the full commitment of the entire team.
The beams were placed on the programmed date with the rail possession and the A421 reopened on time, making this a particularly impressive achievement.
