East London Line Extension Scheme reaches significant milestone

Following extensive test running on the East London Line Scheme, the approved Signalling Test Certificate TC1 was formally issued to London Overground.
The scheme was simultaneously issued with a Sectional Completion Certificate for railway core route, depot and associated infrastructure. This is an outstanding achievement representing the culmination of over three years of intensive construction work. With the finishing touches being added to the final station, Transport for London can now commence Trial Operations, with passenger services commencing in Spring 2010.
