Balfour Beatty Major Civil Engineering's hat-trick of accolades at the 2010 CIHT Award Ceremony

The A421 Improvement Scheme (pictured top right) and King's Cross Northern Ticket Hall project teams both received accolades at this year's Chartered Institution of Highways and Transportation (CIHT) Award Ceremony.

The annual CIHT Awards celebrate innovative and inspirational projects which encourage others throughout the wider industry, to achieve best practice and make a positive contribution to society and our working environment.

With competition from over 150 applicants, our A421 Improvements Scheme was awarded a Highly Commended Certificate of Achievement in recognition of the commendable environmental and sustainable work the project has pioneered.

King's Cross Northern Ticket Hall also hit a double whammy with a Highly Commended Certificate of Achievement for their Zero Harm activities, in addition to a Commended Certificate in the Major Project category.
